Sending Messages

There are three primary ways to initiate conversations with your customers in Marqvia:

  1. Direct Conversation via Chat

  2. Bulk Broadcast via Campaign

  3. Scheduled Sequence Messages via Drip Campaign

For this guide, we will focus on Bulk Broadcast via Campaign.

Create Template Messages

Before initiating conversations, you will need to submit a Template Message to Meta for approval.

1

Go to Settings > Channels.

2

Then, click on Manage Templates, which will bring you to the Templates Messages page.

3

Select the "+ Create WhatsApp Template" button, and a "Create Message Template" pop-up will open.

4

Fill in the template details (e.g., Category, Language, Message Body, Footer, Buttons). Once done, click Submit for Approval.

5

Once submitted for approval, you will see the newly created template message on the page, and its status will be "Pending." Approval typically takes 10–30 minutes. Once approved, you may send the template message.

Perform a Campaign

1

Start a Campaign

After your template is approved, go to the Campaign module. Then, click on "+ Create Campaign".

2

Add a Campaign Name

Enter a descriptive campaign name, following best practices for naming conventions. Click Next to proceed.

3

Select Sender

Choose the channel you wish to send from (e.g., WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram). Then, click Next.

Note: With WhatsApp, you can broadcast at any time. On Facebook and Instagram, broadcasts are limited to contacts who have messaged you within 7 days of their initial interaction.

4

Select Contact

Here, you can upload your contact list using a CSV file or filter your existing database.

  • Upload Contacts:

    • Click the upload icon (add specific icon if available) then fill up the required information.

  • Filter Existing Database:

    • If broadcasting to a targeted segment, use filters to refine the list. Here, you can filter based on available Contact Fields or Tags that you have created in your account.

    • Add multiple filters using the + button if needed.

  • Default Behavior: If no filters are applied, the broadcast will be sent to all contacts in the system.

After setting the filters, click "Submit" to apply them. The filtered contacts based on your selected criteria will appear at the bottom. If everything looks correct, click "Next" to proceed.

5

Select Template

Choose the template that was approved by Meta from the dropdown menu. You can also create a new one by clicking "Create Template", which will direct you to the Template Message page.

If your template message includes variables (e.g., {{ 1 }}, {{ 2 }} ):

  • Fill in placeholder variables: Use static data by entering it manually, or dynamically capture data from contact attributes.

  • For buttons triggering specific actions: Add a callback ID to link to specific automation. Refer to the Automation Tutorial for Buttons for more information.

6

Test Send

Here, you can perform a test send to your number. Select the test send icon, and a pop-out menu will appear, allowing you to select contact(s). If your number is not displayed here, you may click "+ Add Contact".

It is highly recommended to test your campaign before sending the actual bulk broadcast.

7

Review Campaign

Review all details to ensure they are correct, then select your broadcast timing:

  • Send Now: The campaign will be sent immediately upon submission.

  • Set Schedule: The campaign will be sent at the specific date and time you choose.

Click "Send Now" or "Set Schedule" once done, and your new campaign will be created.
