Onboarding WhatsApp Business App Users (Coexistence)

You can now choose to onboard with Marqvia using an existing WhatsApp Business App account, allowing you to use both the WhatsApp Business App and Marqvia simultaneously. The message chat history will be synced across both platforms.

During onboarding with Marqvia, you have the option to connect with an existing WhatsApp Business App or with a new phone number.

If you wish to connect with "Connect your existing WhatsApp Business App," follow the steps below to onboard with Marqvia.

  • Go to Settings > Channels.

  • Locate the WhatsApp Cloud API option and click the Configure button.

WhatsApp Cloud API Pop-Up

  • Select "I want to create a new WhatsApp Business API."

  • Click the "Login with Facebook" button to proceed.

Log In to Facebook

  • Log in to your Facebook account that is the admin of the associated Business Portfolio.

Fill in Business Information

  • Choose your business portfolio. If you do not have a business portfolio, you may create a new one within this step.

  • Complete the required fields, such as your business name and a valid website.

Having a valid website in your MBM is a best practice to prevent potential issues, especially if and when you apply for Meta Business Verification.

  • Click Next to proceed.

Note: Enter a valid business website, as Facebook uses this information to check compliance with WhatsApp's Commerce Policy.

Select WhatsApp Number

  • Select "Connect your existing WhatsApp Business app" for the prompt.

  • Click Next to proceed.

Fill in Your WhatsApp Number

Enter the phone number you wish to connect to the Cloud API. Then, click Next.

Scan the QR Code

  • Once you click Next, a message from Facebook Business Account will be sent to your WhatsApp Business App with a button that says "Scan QR Code."

  • Tap on the "Scan QR code" button, which should bring you to a page as shown below.

  • It will prompt you if you would like to share your chat history with Marqvia.

  • Once you have selected "Share Chat", you may proceed to scan the QR code displayed on your screen.

Confirm Your Details

  • Key in your WhatsApp Business account name and time zone. Then, select Next.

  • Click Continue to proceed.

  • Next, you can add a payment method immediately or choose to do it later.

  • If you wish to skip, select "Finish", and you will be redirected to Marqvia.

Complete the Setup

On the Marqvia dashboard:

  • Select Add Channel.

  • Click Finish once the channel has been successfully added to finalize the setup.

You are all set! You can now use both platforms to connect with your clients, enjoying the flexibility of the WhatsApp Business App and the power of Marqvia's features.
