Onboarding WhatsApp Business App Users (Coexistence)
You can now choose to onboard with Marqvia using an existing WhatsApp Business App account, allowing you to use both the WhatsApp Business App and Marqvia simultaneously. The message chat history will be synced across both platforms.
During onboarding with Marqvia, you have the option to connect with an existing WhatsApp Business App or with a new phone number.
If you wish to connect with "Connect your existing WhatsApp Business App," follow the steps below to onboard with Marqvia.
Please note: Ensure your WhatsApp Business App is updated to the latest version to avoid issues during the onboarding process.
Before you begin, you need to link your WhatsApp Business App number to your Meta Business Portfolio. You can find instructions on how to do this here.
Log In to Facebook
Log in to your Facebook account that is the admin of the associated Business Portfolio.
Important Notes:
You must be an admin of the Facebook Business Portfolio. Only admins have the necessary permissions to create WhatsApp API Business Accounts.
Grant necessary permissions to Marqvia.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection process.
Fill in Business Information
Choose your business portfolio. If you do not have a business portfolio, you may create a new one within this step.
Complete the required fields, such as your business name and a valid website.
What is a valid website?
A valid website should be:
Viewable and clearly belong to your business.
Contain information that can determine your business industry.
Have a matching email domain and web address.
Feature your company's name or logo.
Click Next to proceed.
Scan the QR Code
Once you click Next, a message from Facebook Business Account will be sent to your WhatsApp Business App with a button that says "Scan QR Code."
Tap on the "Scan QR code" button, which should bring you to a page as shown below.
It will prompt you if you would like to share your chat history with Marqvia.
Once you have selected "Share Chat", you may proceed to scan the QR code displayed on your screen.
Complete the Setup
On the Marqvia dashboard:
Select Add Channel.
Click Finish once the channel has been successfully added to finalize the setup.
Important: If you miss this step, you will have to redo the entire process again.
You are all set! You can now use both platforms to connect with your clients, enjoying the flexibility of the WhatsApp Business App and the power of Marqvia's features.
