Bulk Broadcast via Campaign

Follow the steps below to create a campaign and send a template message to multiple contacts at once.

1

Start a Campaign

Go to the Campaign module. Then, click on "+ Create Campaign".

2

Add a Campaign Name

Enter a descriptive campaign name, following your internal naming conventions. Click Next to proceed.

3

Select Sender

Choose the channel you wish to send from (e.g., WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram). Then, click Next.

Note: With WhatsApp, you can broadcast at any time, whereas on Facebook and Instagram, broadcasts are limited to contacts who have messaged you within 7 days of their initial interaction.

4

Select Contact

Here, you can upload your contact list using a CSV file or Filter Existing Database.

  • Upload Contacts: Click the upload icon and fill in the required information.

  • Filter Existing Database: If broadcasting to a targeted segment, use filters to refine the list. You can filter by the available Contact Fields or Tags that you have created in your account. Add multiple filters using the + button if needed.

Default Behavior: If no filters are applied, the broadcast will be sent to all contacts in the system.

After setting the filters, click "Submit" to apply them. The filtered contacts will appear at the bottom. If everything looks correct, click "Next" to proceed.

5

Select Template

Choose the template that was approved by Meta from the dropdown menu. You can also create a new one by clicking "Create Template", which will direct you to the Template Message page.

If there are variables in your template message, fill in the placeholder variables:

  • Use static data by entering it manually.

  • Dynamically capture data from contact attributes.

  • For buttons triggering specific actions, add a callback ID to link to a specific automation. Refer to the Automation Tutorial for Buttons.

6

Test Send

You can perform a test send to your number. Select the test send icon to open a pop-up menu. If your number is not displayed, you may click "+ Add Contact".

It is highly recommended to test before sending the actual bulk broadcast.

Note: You can only select a maximum of 5 contacts for a test send. The selected test send numbers must not be part of the broadcast contact list.

7

Review Campaign

Check to ensure all details are correct, then select your broadcast timing:

By default, the Run This Campaign All Day option will be selected.

  • Run This Campaign All Day: This option allows the campaign to be sent at any time throughout the day, either immediately or at a scheduled time. The campaign will continue running until it reaches all selected contacts.

  • Run This Campaign in Specific Duration of Day: This option restricts the campaign to run only within a specified time frame (e.g., 9 AM to 10 PM). You can choose to send it immediately or schedule it. The campaign will only run when the time window is met and will send messages to as many contacts as possible within that duration.

Choose your send time:

  • Send Now: This option will send the campaign immediately. If the current time falls outside the specified duration, the campaign will not run until the time window is met.

  • Set Schedule: This option allows you to set a specific future date and time for the campaign. It will be sent once the scheduled time arrives. If the scheduled time falls outside the specified duration, the campaign will not run until the time window is met.

8

Retry Campaign

Once this option is turned on, the campaign will resend the template message to those that failed to send in a scheduled timing. The timing schedule can be altered based on your settings.

Click Send Now or Set Schedule once done, and a new campaign will be created.

As a reminder, it is recommended to send messages to users who have opted-in to receiving messages from you.
