Switch Instagram Personal to Business
An Instagram Business Account is required to create an Instagram Channel in Marqvia. Follow these steps to convert your personal account to a business account:
Open your Instagram application, then go to your profile.
In your profile, tap the Menu icon in the top-right corner.
In the menu that appears, select Settings.
Then, choose Account.
Scroll down and select Switch to professional account.
Tap Continue.
Search for your business category or select from the options provided. Once selected, tap Done.
It will take a few moments to process your account. Once completed, select Business and tap Next.
On the next screen, add your contact details and tap Next.
The next screen will ask you to connect to a Facebook Page. You should do this, as it is a requirement for creating a Marqvia Instagram Channel.
Connect Instagram to a Facebook Page
For your Marqvia Instagram Channel to work, you need to connect your Instagram Business Account to a Facebook Page. The following guide will assist you in doing so:
Log in to your Facebook account, then from your Feed, go to Pages in the left-hand menu.
From the page list, select the page you want to connect.
Then, go to the left-hand menu, scroll down, and select Settings.
Once you're in the settings, click Instagram, then click Connect Account.
Set "Allow access to Instagram messages in Inbox" to ON.
Then, click Confirm.
After this, enter your Instagram username and password and click Log In.
Allow Access to Messages in Instagram
For your Marqvia Instagram Channel to work and interact with customers over Instagram Direct Messages, allowing access is a must. The following steps will assist you in doing that:
Open your Instagram application, and go to your profile.
Then, tap on the Menu icon.
From the menu that appears, select Settings.
Then from Settings, choose Privacy → and then Messages.
There, under Connected Tools, set "Allow Access to Messages" to ON.
